My Greatest Obstacle

Gideon’s story in Judges 6-7 reawakened my passion to take on God’s call. The Lord has called me early on to serve the church on a full-time basis, but I really haven’t taken the necessary steps to follow Him.

In this aspect, my greatest obstacle is — well, myself.

  • I need security in terms of provision, as soon as I decide to go full-time.
  • I’m not equipped enough to be a helper in the church.

As I was writing the two concerns above, God has already revealed His answers:

On provision and security:

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
(Matthew 6:33)

On not being equipped:

The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
(Exodus 4:11-12)

Realizing all of these, I now have the boldness to serve God through the church. Best of all, I don’t have to worry, because God will provide.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will give the desires of your heart.” Many are called but few are chosen. You are chosen by God, no less. Hesitate not.

Haha! Not a pastor, but probably full-time involvement in music ministry and leading small groups. 🙂
