Doubt vs. Faith

thumbs up faith believe

Doubt and faith cannot occupy my heart at the same time. When I doubt God’s power and promise-keeping attitude, I am reducing my trust in Him, leading me to lose faith in Him. When I choose to have faith, God’s fulfillment of His promises leads me to experience His glory and faithfulness, leading me to strengthen my faith further.

I could choose either way to live my life, but I would gladly prefer faith over doubt. God has done so many wonderful things in my life — pulled me out of a sinful life, shattered the chains that bound me to obsessions, restored my relationships, provided for my needs, and gives me joy and completeness. All of these firsthand experiences make me a witness to His power and grace, and these I cannot doubt.

Faith leads me to witness and experience the handiwork of God in my life, thereby leading me to bring my faith in Him higher and higher, from glory to glory. I wouldn’t want to live my life any other way.
